The purpose of the '1688 Wentletrap Award' is to recognize Masonic sites for outstanding web design and Masonic content. Our mission is to promote the development of high quality Masonic web pages which reflect positively on our Fraternal Order. All sites are reviewed for:

• Content: meaningful and up-to-date Masonic information, proper grammar.   (20 points)
• Design: general layout and suitable use of graphics no commercial advertising.   (15 points)
• Technical: speed of loading, navigation, error free hyperlinks, use of tools   (15 points) (e.g. forms, guestbooks, JavaScript, PGP public key etc.).

The Golden '1688 Wentletrap Award' is only attributed to sites that are W3C compatible and obtain a score of at least 45 points.

The Silver '1688 Wentletrap Award' is attributed to sites that obtain a score of at least 40 points.

Please note that we are more interested in content, basic appearance, and ease of use than we are in facade.
Webmasters have to apply for evaluation of their site. If your site is selected, you will be notified by e-mail. Our awards are only awarded once.
Sites who are awarded will be listed with a link to their url.
